Mark O'Shea's Slither
Many people are killed by snakes every year, particularly in tropical countries. But although there are some dangerous species, most snakes are completely harmless to man. Even those with powerful venom will seldom attack unless provoked.
In Slither Exhibition visitors can find out more about snake evolution, biology and behaviour as well as relevant aspects of natural history such as camouflage, mimicry and warning colouration. Visitors can examine and decide for themselves whether man is more of a danger to these fascinating creatures than they are to us.
The scientific advisor for this exhibition was TV herpetologist Mark O'Shea, who also provided the stunning photographs.
